Buying Guide: Choosing the right bedding for restful sleep

Great sleep starts with bed linens tailored to your temperature profile, sleep position, and personal comfort. Finding the perfect combination ensures restful nights and energized mornings.

1. Duvet warmth classes: Tailored for every season

Duvets are classified into four warmth classes: Class 1 provides maximum warmth for chilly winters, Class 2 is a balanced all-round duvet for spring and autumn, Class 3 offers light warmth, and Class 4 is ultra-lightweight for warm summer nights. A 4-season duvet pairs classes 3 and 4 into a versatile winter duvet. Browse our duvets.

2. Comparing materials: Down, Wool, Cotton, and Microfiber

Natural down offers unmatched warmth-to-weight ratio and molds gently around your contours. Wool excels in moisture absorption, keeping you dry throughout the night. Cotton and cotton sateen feel crisp and breathable against the skin. Microfiber is hypoallergenic, machine washable at 60°C, and quick to dry. Discover our collection of duvet covers.

3. Pillow selection by sleeping position: Side, Back, or Stomach

Side sleepers require a firmer, higher pillow to maintain spinal alignment. Back sleepers benefit from medium-height pillows with cervical contouring. Stomach sleepers should choose low, soft pillows to prevent neck hyperextension. Check out our range of pillows.

4. Hygiene & Longevity: Mattress protection and care tips

The average adult releases half a liter of moisture each night. A high-quality mattress protector shields your mattress from moisture, stains, and dust mites. Wash bed sheets every 1 to 2 weeks at 60°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about sizing, materials, care, and delivery

What duvet size do I need for my mattress?

For a single bed (90x200 cm), choose a duvet of 140x200 or 140x220 cm. For a small double (120-140 cm width), 200x200 cm works well. For standard doubles and kings (160-180 cm width), we recommend 240x220 cm for generous coverage without drafts.

What is the difference between standard cotton and cotton sateen?

Both are 100% natural cotton. Cotton sateen uses a special satin weave structure, resulting in a silkier, smoother hand feel and a soft, elegant luster while retaining full breathability.

How frequently should pillows and duvets be washed?

Duvet covers and sheets should be laundered every 1 to 2 weeks. Pillows can be washed 2 to 3 times a year at 40°C to 60°C. Duvets generally need washing once a year or professional dry cleaning depending on the filling.
