Which climbing rope do I need?
Dynamic ropes absorb a lot of stretch and are used for lead climbing (sport climbing/bouldering). Static ropes are intended for abseiling or stand placements.
Should I preventatively replace my climbing harness?
A climbing harness/belt usually lasts several years, depending on wear of the rope on the harness itself. Always inspect carefully for tears on the binding loops.
Are there risks with carabiners and how often should I check them?
Your hardware (carabiners, stoppers, hooks) you ideally check before and after every hard climb. Look carefully at sharp edges on places where the climbing rope has slid through (rope wear) and the reaction of the closing mechanism.
How do I know if the safety equipment meets the requirements?
Only equipment from renowned A-brands suffices in the area of securing and personal protection.
What is your policy for exchanging climbing items?
Due to the high risks on the safety level for other customers, returning equipment material is often bound by strict rules. Make sure that you return the purchase, dimensions and labels undamaged and in original packaging sealed at your own costs within 14 days after purchase.
